The Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum proudly presents William McDaniel, Rear Admiral, USN (Ret.) as the speaker for our Quarterly Luncheon. Rear Admiral McDaniel began his career in the Navy as a flight surgeon to a Marine Air Wing in Vietnam. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency, he spent 32 years in the Navy, retiring in 1997 at the rank of Rear Admiral. His talk, “Faces of the Tsunami,” will be about his experience overseeing the US response to the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami in Indonesia. The event will on Tuesday, July 15th at the Elks Lodge in Oak Harbor (155 NE Ernst St). Doors are at 11:00 AM, lunch is served at 11:30 AM, and the program will begin at 12 PM. Admission is free and there will be an $18 buffet lunch provided by the Elks Lodge.
