Hi, My name is Eli Moua, and I’m an intern with Special Olympics Washington (SOWA). I’m reaching out on behalf of Special Olympics Washington with an exciting community event, the Polar Plunge with the biggest expansion in our Polar Plunge history — including the Seattle Super Plunge, a 24-hour endurance challenge where participants plunge into icy waters every hour, on the hour for an entire day. This winter season (January–March 2026), thousands across Washington will brave the cold to raise a record $350,000 in support of over 12,000 Special Olympics Washington participants statewide. It’s a celebration of courage, inclusion, and community unlike anything else in the region. The Polar Plunge is a community fundraising event where participants take an icy leap to support Special Olympics Washington. Each plunge funds year-round programs for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We would love the opportunity to be featured in your events calendar or newsletters.
