Sundae Drumdae

Back by popular demand - Sundaes & Drumming! Children will engage in the arts through this hands on interactive workshop. Learn the basics of drumming, elements of music, rhythm, dynamics, and communication through world rhythms and music games using a variety of instruments and techniques. Mary Ellen Hodges, M. Ed., is an experienced children’s music educator who specializes in the use of rhythm instruments for dynamic learning. Her classes ignite all areas of child development including intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language and literacy, helping the body and mind work together. Workshop is recommended for children ages 7 - 12. Parents are encouraged to observe. Be sure to stay for the ice cream social following the workshop. Cost of sundaes are included in the ticket price. 2:00pm workshop 3:00 Ice cream social Drums provided. No experience is necessary. *Parents may also purchase a sundae by purchasing an adult ticket.
