Learn about our rich history in food processing as well as what’s in the works to help local producers add value to their products and hold their ground in the market. This year’s Whatcom Food Network Fall Forum on November 14 from 9-12:30 features presentations by Mauri Ingram of the Whatcom Community Foundation on the proposed waterfront food campus, as well as Tammy Cooper-Woodrich of Nooksack Tribe and Dave Green from Skagit Valley Malting on the history of processing in our region, and a panel of representatives from a diverse array of local industries and perspectives who will share current and future practices in local processing. Join us to be a part of this important conversation about how we can continue strengthening our local food system! Registration for this FREE event is required, doors open at 8:50 am.
