What to Know About the SBA Disaster Loan Program
With recent flooding and mudslides, we are receiving many inquiries related to SBA Disaster Assistance. Below are key pieces of information to know at this time:
  • Before SBA Disaster Loans can be made available, an Individual Assistance disaster declaration must be made.
  • There are different types of SBA Disaster Loans so a declaration will determine the type of assistance available.
  • Until a declaration is made, the SBA team is at the ready and coordinating with federal, state and local partners in preparation and anticipation of a declaration.

We will communicate via this distribution list, social media channels (LinkedIn), and in the press as soon as this info is available. When available, information will also be uploaded on the SBA website at www.sba.gov/disaster and in the SBA Disaster Newsroom. Additionally, resources to prepare your business for a disaster can be found at www.sba.gov/prepare.

More Information
Once a disaster declaration for individual assistance is made, we plan to host informational webinars to provide more information about the types of disaster loans available, eligibility, and application process.

We anticipate having in-person SBA Business Recovery Centers opened in impacted communities and will share more information when those details are in place.
